You're probably thinking, "I didn't know I was in school!"  I forgot to mention, I taught middle school math for several years.  Sorry if it comes out from time to time... like now :)

What You Can Expect of Me

  • To be on time if not early to our session.
  • To act silly and use creative ways to get kids to look at the camera.
  • To go with the flow.  Newborns and children often have their own plan and I know this.  Try not to get angry, we have time :)
  • To have several suggestions/poses.
  • To continue to shoot, even if I am not telling you I'm shooting.  Candid shots make for some of the best.
  • To come prepared to our session.*

What I Can Expect of You

  • To be nervous at first.  It may take a few minutes for everyone to get comfortable in front of the camera, but it's normal and not a problem.
  • To bring a snack for children.  A change of clothes for little ones (and older ones) is also a great idea.
  • To let me know if you have an idea you would like to try.  After all, this is YOUR session!
  • To contact me as soon as possible (if possible) for a cancellation.  I realize some circumstances occur the day of, but if baby hasn't been feeling well for several days, please contact me so we can find a better time.

*Because I am primarily a natural light photographer, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature.  When the weather doesn't cooperate with us and there's not too much we can do.  In such a case, Areke Worku Photography will not assume responsibility for time off work, relatives coming in from out of town, etc.  We will reschedule and I will do my best to make it fit into your schedule.
